Nintendo 251 Memory Card
Finally a large and reliable memory card for the Gamecube. The Nintendo 251 memory card will last for ages, having the capacity to fit loads of saved games onto it, as opposed to the other official card from Nintendo that has a mere 59 blocks and could only store about 5-6 saved games.

The 251 card is excellent value for money by comparison. It is not as big as some of the other 3rd party cards on offer, but as it is an official card from Nintendo, so you know its will never fail, and you will not lose any of your precious saved games. This new official card renders the old Nintendo 59 memory card almost useless, offering over four time as much storage space at an almost identical price.

My only criticism is that this was not the card originally released with the Gamecube.

An essential purchase for the Nintendo Gamecube.

GameCube 251 Slot Memory Card
Like every gamer knows, you cant actually completely enjoy a game without being able to save your progress. Thats why memory cards were created. Now, you will think, whats special about this particular memory card? Well it has more then 4 times more space then the first Nintendo GameCube 59 Mem. Card. Now maybe some other people will think, I dont need that much space.. but.. wrong again. A normal "59" Memory card is full in no time when you have 5 games or more. On this moment I have 5 games and I only have about 5 blocks left on my "59" memory card. And when youre a hardcore gamer, like I am, you just need more blocks ! Thats why I bought the bigger memory card, because Im planning on buying all good NGC titels (and that are a lot !), and if you like to have more then 1 savegame a game, this just is a must-have for your cube !

Buy it !

I "only" gave it 4 stars because its a bit late to release and because the "59" was released before it.

(Boom boom boom) Its simply the best!
As far as memory cards for the gamecube go, this really is simply the best and any other memory cards are simply not worth considering. And no, I dont work for Nintendo.
The 251 slots that this card is able to utilise is more than enough for any games collection, with most games only needing around 10-20 slots for their saves, so this is good for both hardcore and casual gamers. The 59 slots on the other official Nintendo memory card do not really stretch far enough for even the most casual of casual gamers, and people looking to take the cheaper option will find themselves in 6 months looking to buy another one.
But, what about the unofficial memory cards?, I hear you cry, well they may be cheaper than the official cards, they have the huge drawback of being much less reliable than the Nintendo cards with having damaged data quite regularly. I have never had any problems at all with the official cards and payiong the couple of extra pounds is well worth having security for your games.
